Yuvajana Sakhyam Moto
Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was founded in 1933 with the vision that the young people in
the Church should accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and bear witness to His
saving power. Worship, study, witness, and service are the primary mottos of the Mar Thoma
Yuvajana Sakhyam. The Kuwait MarThoma Yuvajana Sakhyam strives hard to put these
principles into practice. Our Sakhyam is blessed to have very vibrant and active youths to
achieve this objective. The Sakhyam is also engaged in these four fold programs as
follows:

Worship
The Kuwait Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam members regularly attend the church worship and
communion services. Many of our members serve as lay ministrants, Sunday school teachers
and choir members. Apart from the corporate worship, the Sakhyam members also participate
and give leadership for area prayers and activities of other church organizations. The
Sakhyam members assist the vicars during the service on 2nd Fridays.
The word ‘worship’ is derived from two old English words meaning ‘worth-ship’.
Worship is thus giving ‘God his worth’ and He is worthy of our total self-offering!
The worship service will become a meaningful experience only when we participate in
it with prayer, meditation, active listening and sincere response. When we worship,
we are joining those worshippers who have gone before us and are forming a link to those
worshippers who have gone before us and are forming a link to those worshippers who are
going to come after us. It gives a sense of oneness with all believers in the past, present and future.

Study
The Sakhyam uses its periodical meetings for Bible study and discussion of contemporary themes.
Worship + Study emphasize our relationship with God.

Service
The Sakhyam members share their experience during witnessing sessions in the Sakhyam Meetings..

Witness
Witness + Service emphasize our duty towards mankind.
The Sakhyam has given great importance for Charity work
